Best Bars In Fort Worth Texas

I love how my mind buys into the international fame of Fort Worth and its cowboys. I’ve been to the stockyards a thousand times by now and to me… it’s still the Old West. Although the Stockyards have the potential to take you back in time, the rest of Fort Worth has matured in ways not fathomable back in the days of saloon doors and spittoons. Funky Town’s Cultural District is home to Old World and New World art masterpieces, exotic science and cultural exhibits, timeless performance art theaters and the new Dickies Arena. Aside from these two cultural master pieces, Fort Worth is also home to the thriving TCU Horned Frogs Sports and Texas Country Music scenes. In this article we’re going to cover the best bars to visit while you explore the wonderful City for Fort Worth.

List of the top 5 bars in Fort Worth Texas

Nickel CityNickel City Fort Worth Tx
212 S Main St Suite 100, Fort Worth, TX 76104

This place has a fun atmosphere, great drink menu and easy food menu. I really enjoy the vibe here and all the bartenders are super friendly. I would call this more of a local bar but if you’re in the area it’s definitely worth a stop.

Basement Bar Fort WorthBasement Bar
105 W Exchange Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76164

Basement Bar has a very unique atmosphere, both inside and out. Grab a Lone Star Beer and enjoy the “World’s Smallest Honky Tonk”. While I do recommend this bar, don’t stay long. If you’re in the Stockyards you should definitely be bar hopping because there are plenty of hoedowns along Main St.

Scat Jazz Lounge Scat Jazz Lounge
111 W 4th St #11, Fort Worth, TX 76102

Scat Lounge is a speakeasy tucked away in a back alley in downtown Fort Worth. This place checks all the boxes; great music, tasty food, and lively atmosphere! Great for date nights, you can catch local and national jazz acts along with great service and drinks.

Martin House Brewing CompanyMartin House Brewery
220 S Sylvania Ave #209, Fort Worth, TX 76111

Martin House not only has great beer and views, but the Trinity Trails are right out back. You can enjoy the bar or a tour here on Thursdays and Saturdays, Fort Worth bike rentals are located right across the street if you feel like hitting the trails after.

Chimy's Fort WorthChimy’s
1053 Foch St, Fort Worth, TX 76107

This place is located in West 7th’s sea of trendy bars. Serving up a plethora of margaritas and easy Mexican bar food, it is one of the last original bars on the street and is also a TCU stronghold for game day celebrations. Most of the bars on West 7th are the same cut and copied clones of each other but always a drunken good time.
